Well I was Definitely not disappointed with this book.   It was fantastic.

The characters.
We officially met Aelin Ashryver Galathynius, rightful Queen of Terrasen.   As we found out Celeana Sardothin is actually Aelin,  we got to know Celaena as Adarlan's Assassin.  In this instalment,  Aelin has in braced who she is, gathering up her court, ready to take up her rightful place.

Aelin needs to find the third Wrydkey,  which is the Amulet of Ornyth.  Aelin believes the amulet  is with Arobynn, the King of Assassins.   Now Aelin must find a way to retrieve the Amulet.  I enjoyed seeing how she acted as the assassin with Arobynn but as a queen for her court.   By the end she is very ready to lead Terrasen against the vlag King

For Chaol well with his first meeting with Aelin broke my heart.  Which basically ended with blaming her for what happened to Dorian and Aedion.   He is still intensely loyal to Dorian,  which I loved.  Basically all he is trying to do is save Dorian from the King.  Which has become increasingly difficult as he is being controlled by a Vlag Prince.

Chaol teams up with Aelin to free Aedion and Dorian.  The group is able to rescue Aedion, but Dorian is more difficult.   While it is believed the only thing to save Dorian is to kill him, along with the Vlag Prince.  They come up with a drastic plan to stop both the King and Dorian.   When a message appears from Manon, that Dorian is still in him they change their plan.

Dorian spends a majority trying to regain control of his body.  With the help of Manon and Aelin we get glimpses that he is still in their. In the end it is a strong friendship with Chaol that brings him back.  When the King announces that he knows that Celaena is Aelin, Chaol stays to try and slow down the King.

While Aelin is trying to get through to Dorian, the King returns.  He tells them that he killed Chaol,  which brings him back.  I had missed seeing these two together.

Finally a scene that I had wanted to see happened since we met Manon.  Manon finally met Aelin.  It was everything that I wanted and more.  I thought something great would happen when the two finally met.

In the the end I love this book.  I love the way the storylines came together.  So I gave this book:
